Lédger® Live Install
Installing Lédger® Live (formerly Ledger Live) is the first step to securely managing your crypto assets with your Lédger hardware wallet. The app is available for desktop and mobile platforms, and installation takes only a few minutes.
📥 Step 1 – Download from Official Sources
Always download Lédger Live exclusively from the official Lédger website or verified app stores to protect yourself from phishing attacks and malware.
💻 Step 2 – Install on Desktop
Windows: Double-click the downloaded .exe file and follow the installation prompts. The installer will guide you through the process.
macOS: Open the downloaded .dmg file and drag the Lédger Live icon into your Applications folder.
Linux: Download the AppImage file, mark it as executable (chmod u+x), and run it.
📱 Step 3 – Install on Mobile
iOS: Open the App Store, search for "Ledger Live," and tap "Get" to install.
Android: Open the Google Play Store, search for "Ledger Live," and tap "Install."
🔧 Step 4 – Launch and Connect
Once installed, launch the application. The first-time setup will guide you through connecting your Lédger device via USB or Bluetooth (for Nano X, Flex, and Stax). You can choose to set up a new device, restore from an existing recovery phrase, or use Ledger Recover if you're a subscriber.
🔒 Critical Security Rule: Never enter your 24-word recovery phrase into any website, app, or chat – it must only be entered on your Lédger device screen. If a site asks for it, you are on a phishing page – stop immediately.
Lédger Live is completely free to download and use. The cost applies only to the Lédger hardware device itself. There are no subscription fees, no hidden charges, and no transaction fees imposed by Lédger — only standard blockchain network fees apply.
